Proto:87
Network is a WebRing begun in January 2004 linking Websites with
content concerned primarily with
Proto:87 modeling and resources. It is free to join and carries no
advertising. Why a ring? The advantage of a WebRing over a collection of links is that all member sites promote the ring through the highly visible Network banner, which in turn encourages other related sites to join to ring. The more sites that join, the higher the visibility. Any site with Proto:87 content is eligible for membership--the goal is to be inclusive, not excxlusive, making it easy for those interested in Proto:87 to find Proto:87 content on the Web. |
Besides
having Proto:87 content, the other essential criteria is that visitors
must be able to easily locate that content through the URL supplied to
the Network for linking. If your Proto:87 content is deeper within your
site or difficult to find, we can also supply an internal
site banner that you can place anywhere on your site to direct
traffic to the location of the Network banner page and your Proto:87

All sites included in the Proto:87 Network must
carry the following banner. A section of
code for this banner will be forwared to you upon joining the
Network. The code can then easily be copied and pasted into your Web
page. It's that simple!

The Proto:87 Network WebRing runs using JavaScript developed by E.P.Joe Tozer. It does not require any special (cgi) hosting facility and doesn't require the use of commercial WebRing hosting, hence there are no annoying pop ups or advertising splashes.
